We have the larger 18" Alang drum pendant from Ikea already in our office, and as I looked up at it one day, I realized I could make that work in our closet makeover with just a few little embellishments to pretty it up. The smaller pendant is 14" diameter and is a great size for our closet. At $29.99, I would make this work! I'm calling this lighting makeover a "mini hack" because it is so simple that some hackers might balk at calling it an all-out hack, but I think these simple additions totally change the look of this light. Here's a quick summary of how I did it:
1. Add decorative ribbon or washi tape to top and bottom edges of drum shade.
2. Using a button and a chandelier drop prism with a wire, attach the prism through the button and glue the button to the bottom panel of the drum shade.
